TiNDLE KATSU

Serves 1 portion

TiNDLE KATSU

  • 3½ oz TiNDLE Thy, shaped into 1 patty
  • 2 oz tonkatsu sauce
  • 1 oz cabbage, shredded
  • Breadcrumb mix, as needed
  • 1 egg ^
  • All purpose flour, as needed

BREADCRUMB MIX (Coating for 1 portion)

  • 1½ oz panko crumbs
  • ¼ oz salt
  • <⅛ oz ground black pepper

TONKATSU SAUCE

  • 2½ oz tomato ketchup
  • 2 oz Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ oz sugar
  • ¼ oz Japanese soy sauce

PREPARATION

Is So Easy

  1. Combine all ingredients for tonkatsu sauce and bring to a simmer.
  2. Coat TiNDLE Thy with all-purpose flour, dip in beaten egg and finally coat with breadcrumb mix.
  3. Deep fry patty at 340°F for 1½ minutes until it reaches 165°F.
  4. Remove from deep fryer and bake in the oven at 340°F for 2 minutes.
  5. Spoon sauce over and serve with shredded cabbage.

^Replace with vegan egg or aquafaba to make this dish vegan-friendly.
