  • WHAT IS TINDLE?

    TiNDLE is a ridiculously good chicken made from plants that tastes remarkably like chicken made from birds. It is the first product by Next Gen Foods, a food startup on a mission to shift to plant-based foods easy, enjoyable and delicious. TiNDLE consists of only nine ingredients and is made with chefs, for chefs to provide the taste, texture and versatility of chicken from birds.

    We looked at what we loved about chicken and created this without animal ingredients to deliver a plant-based chicken that is a good source of fiber, with no GMO ingredients.

  • WHERE CAN I FIND TINDLE?

    TiNDLE is available in restaurants across the globe – notably in the United States, Europe (United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands), United Arab Emirates and across Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Japan). Visit here to find the closest location near you.

  • WHAT IS TINDLE MADE OF?

    TiNDLE is made from just nine ingredients and contains no GMO ingredients. TiNDLE’s key ingredients include:

    • Soy and wheat protein which provide high quality protein and a fibrous texture similar to chicken from birds
    • Methylcellulose, a common culinary binder that acts similarly to the function of egg whites
    • Lipi™, a proprietary blend of ingredients including  sunflower oil and natural flavours, that provide the distinct aroma, taste and cookability of chicken fat that we know and love

  • WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL PROFILE OF TINDLE?

    TiNDLE is a plant-based chicken made with no GMO ingredients. For every 100g serving, TiNDLE contains 15.76g of protein and 4.5g of fiber and no animal hormones, no antibiotics and no cholesterol.

    TiNDLE can be pan-fried, deep-fried, battered, coated, sauteed, grilled, and molded into any shape or format. The exact nutritional profile of a TiNDLE dish will depend on how it has been prepared with regards to cooking style and dish type – from buns, sauces, seasonings to other delicious items that chefs may add–on.

  • DOES TINDLE CONTAIN ANY ALLERGENS?

    The ingredients and allergens in a TiNDLE dish will differ across dish and restaurant. If you have food allergies or sensitives, please check with the restaurant serving your dish about the ingredients used and potential cross-contamination.

    TiNDLE contains soy and gluten (wheat gluten, wheat starch). TiNDLE is processed in a facility where egg and milk are handled. You can find the complete list of ingredients for TiNDLE below.

  • IS TINDLE NUT-FREE?

    TiNDLE and its ingredients do not contain any tree nuts. However, the facility manufacturing TiNDLE handles other trace nut products. The manufacturing team adheres to robust allergen management procedures to prevent any cross contamination. TiNDLE contains highly refined coconut oil.

  • IS TINDLE HALAL?

    Yes! TiNDLE and our manufacturing facility are Halal Certified by the Halal Feed and Food Inspection Authority.

  • IS TINDLE SUITABLE FOR VEGANS?

    Yes! TiNDLE itself is vegan and vegan certified by V-Label.

    When dining out, we still recommend checking with the restaurant serving your meal about the toppings and condiments they’re using with TiNDLE, as well as any cross-contact with other ingredients in their kitchen.

  • IS TINDLE GLUTEN FREE?

    No, TiNDLE contains wheat gluten and wheat starch, so it is not currently gluten-free.

  • WHY PLANT-BASED CHICKEN?

    Why not? Chicken is a well-loved, delicious and common protein found in consumer diets everywhere. It is a versatile meat that can be found in almost every cuisine around the world. By providing consumers with a plant-based version of their favorite meat, we can reduce our dependence on animal agriculture.

     
  • WHAT NATURAL FLAVORS ARE USED IN TINDLE?

    Lipi™ is a proprietary blend including natural flavors and sunflower oil, and it provides the distinct aroma, taste and cookability of chicken fat that we know and love. The natural flavors found in Lipi ™ are made of ingredients including vegetables, and black rock salt.

  • WHAT CAN I COOK WITH TINDLE?

    TiNDLE is an incredibly versatile product which can be prepared and molded into any shape or format, and cooked by deep-frying, sautéing, grilling and battering. TiNDLE absorbs the flavors of any sauces and marinades applied giving the chef complete creativity over their dishes.

    We’ve seen an endless variety of TiNDLE dishes across multiple cuisines including an Indian butter chicken, a TiNDLE Wellington, a TiNDLE pretzel hot dog, and TiNDLE pizza crusts – where TiNDLE serves as the pizza base!

  • HOW DO I COOK WITH TINDLE?

    TiNDLE should be placed in the refrigerator overnight to defrost, after which it must be used in 4 days. Alternatively, to expedite the defrosting process, place TiNDLE in a sealed plastic bag in a sink of cold water for 30 minutes to an hour. Once defrosted in this manner it must be used within 1 day.

    Once defrosted, fold and pull apart TiNDLE several times to bring out its meat-like texture. You can then season and marinate the product with your desired flavors. TiNDLE can be easily molded into any shape of your choice and cooked by deep-frying, sauteing, grilling or oven baking. TiNDLE is fully cooked once the internal temperature has reached 75C (165F).

    Instructions for exact cooking applications are as follows:

    Deep frying

    1. Shape 100g to 120g (3 ½ – 4 ½ oz) of TiNDLE
    2. Cover the product with your favorite coating, as you would with animal-based chicken
    3. Deep fry TiNDLE at 180C (350F) for 4 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 75C (165F) and turns crispy golden brown

    Grilling

    1. Shape desired amount of TiNDLE
    2. Brush TiNDLE with oil and your favorite marinade
    3. Press TiNDLE lightly onto the grilling surface
    4. Grill TiNDLE for 90 seconds and repeat on the other side until it reaches an internal temperature of 75C (165F)

    Pan frying

    1. Shape desired amount of TiNDLE
    2. Sear TiNDLE with oil in a hot pan
    3. After 1-minute, flip TiNDLE and leave for another minute
    4. Baste for another 3 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 75C (165F)

    In sauces and stews

    1. Shape desired amount of TiNDLE
    2. Sear the marinated TiNDLE in a well-oiled pan
    3. Add the sauce of your choice and continue to simmer for another 2 minutes
    4. Alternatively, you can add TiNDLE to the sauce once it starts to boil and continue to cook until it reaches 75C (165F)
  • HOW SHOULD I STORE TINDLE?

    TiNDLE should always be stored frozen, below –18C (0F). When frozen, TiNDLE has a shelf life of 18 months from its date of production, which is found printed on the packaging. To prepare TiNDLE for cooking, you should defrost it overnight in the refrigerator. Once thawed, TiNDLE must be kept in the refrigerator, below 4C (40F) and used within 4 days. Do not refreeze TiNDLE after thawing. 

    Should you need to expedite the defrosting, you can place TiNDLE in a sealed plastic bag in a sink of cold water for 30 minutes to 1 hour. TiNDLE which has been defrosted in this manner must be used within 1 day. 

    Storage instructions: Store frozen below –18C (0F)

    Shelf life: 18 months from date of production when frozen. Once defrosted, store in the refrigerator and use within 4 days. If speed defrosted, store in the refrigerator and use within 1 day.
